Our Story

In 2020, our dream became a reality.

Our journey began back in 2014. Our paths crossed and we realized we would be spending the rest of our lives together. Craig was in the aviation industry as a manager for many prominent airlines around the globe. He also has an extensive background in the travel agency business helping others fulfill their dream vacations. His knowledge of the island is immense and he can help you with suggestions of where to go and what to do. Bruce was working at a five-star hotel as the creative director overseeing the special events. Previously, he was the owner of a catering company, hospitality has always been part of his nature. You will enjoy Bruce’s culinary skills at our “Art of Philoxenia” breakfast gathering.

Our love for travelling brought us the to the Greek Islands.

We were mesmerized by the beauty of the land and the generosity of the people. The seed was planted. We dreamed of one day owning a small hotel and providing the same hospitality we encountered to others visiting the islands. Now in 2020 our dream has become a reality. We are honored to share it with you.

Our first trip to Greece brought us to the several beautiful islands scattered across the Aegean. Realizing how different and unique each island is, we came back every year and visited multiple islands. Seventeen in total. There was one island that had a magical feeling to it. We decided to return for a second visit to see if it felt the same. We soon realized that feeling isn’t something you experience only once. The magic touches you from your first visit and you long for the days to return to it once you leave. We were immediately drawn by the natural beauty of Karpathos. The Karpathian people stole our hearts from our first visit and this is where the true magic comes from. They made us feel at home and we are very honored now to call them our friends & family.

Please meet the newest member of our family, Laki!  Laki is a Karpathian hunting dog that was abandoned by his previous owners.  We first met Laki while having dinner at a taverna near his foster home.  Immediately you could see he was a puppy with lots of love to give as he happily greeted all the diners.  Shortly after that evening, we saw his story pop up on the local animal welfare Facebook page.  We knew he would be the perfect addition to our family.  Laki loves to patrol the property, always on the lookout for rogue goats or stealthy cats trying to break in!  Most of all he loves to enthusiastically greet our guests in hope of a belly rub.  He is a gentle giant with an even bigger heart, so no need to be intimidated by his size.

“The magic touches you from your first visit and you long for the days to return to Karpathos once you leave.”

Two Goats! That’s us. We are always amazed at how the many goats on the island travel freely without a single worry. We see them everywhere from resting along the roadside to nibbling on plants at the local seaside taverna. These goats are the inspiration for the name of our property “Two Goats Villas.” One of the greatest joys in life for us is aimlessly wandering around this beautiful island stopping here and there without a single worry. We truly hope that you have the same experience while visiting Karpathos.

Two Goats Villas was created to give you, our friends, the opportunity to experience the same magical feeling we have for the island. We look forward to spoiling you each morning with our “Art of Philoxenia” breakfast inspired from Bruce’s love of cooking. The gardens of the property are thoughtfully inspired by Craig’s love of nature so you can find the perfect spot to enjoy a good book or you can even pick your own vegetables to make a Greek salad. We thoroughly enjoy helping our guests plan the perfect stay, from finding the hidden beaches of the island to the best restaurants for a special dinner.
